In a unique way, macadamiafans is showing young people from Germany how a global food value chain can be created in a sustainable way. In Kenya, the students learn all of the steps of the macadamia chain: They plant macadamia seedlings with the organic small-scale farmers, harvest nuts and process them to the finished packaged end-product. On the German side of the business, the students learn all the steps from incoming goods over accounting to marketing and sales though their macadamiafans school companies.
